Project: Wildwood School, Chicago, IL
F.H. Paschen and Company Contractors were working around the school building and needed a way to work with deteriorating ground conditions due to winter frost and continued precipitation.
Requirement: A solution was needed to allow heavy equipment to maneuver around the building without getting stuck as well as provide stability.
Project Duration: Initial plans called for mats to be laid down approximately 30 days, but this timeframe was extended to accommodate scaffolding for all exterior masonry work.
Midwest Access Solutions Action: Midwest Access Solutions was on site to professionally and effectively perform mat installation specific to the customer's needs, saving time and maximizing cost effectiveness.
Outcome: 30 TerraLam 300 CLT Access Mats were placed on the north and south sides to provide an access pathway and stability for the construction equipment. The mats were also used to provide “staging areas” for other building materials on-site.
